Policies & Procedures
Your First Massage Appointment
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will give us enough time to get to know each other and fill out any required paperwork before your session starts. Also, make sure you bring a photo ID. A copy of your ID will be made for security purposes and kept in your personal file along with your client intake form. After you have completed the form we will discuss your goals for the session and we will answer any questions you may have.
If this is your first time scheduling a massage appointment we recommend starting with a Swedish massage. Swedish
massage is very relaxing and you will still receive the therapeutic benefits that most people are looking for.
Regardless of the type of massage you choose to schedule, it is very important to advise your therapist of any
recent injuries or conditions such pregnancy.
After the proper paperwork has been completed you will be escorted to the massage area. Your therapist will step out before you
get undressed. Some clients prefer to completely disrobe, while others remain partially clothed. Either option is fine. Once undressed, you will lie on the massage table, under the top sheet. Draping is REQUIRED! This means all areas of the body will always covered except the area being worked on. If you are cold natured, blankets are available upon your request. After your massage has been completed, your therapist I will step out again to allow you to redress.
Massage is NOT a substitute for medical treatment. Massage Therapists are not allowed to diagnose injuries or conditions. If you feel you have a condition that may benefit from massage, we will work with your Healthcare Provider as needed to determine a suitable course of treatment.
Massage treatments are intended for therapeutic purposes only. Sexual advances WILL NOT be tolerated. If any inappropriate behavior takes place, your session will be ended IMMEDIATELY. You will be required to pay for your massage in full and you WILL NOT be able to schedule another appointment.
*Proper hygiene is strictly enforced.
Please do not bring children unless they are receiving a service. This includes training & massages sessions as well as classes.
Late arrival will not alter your appointment time. This means if you arrive 15 minutes late to a one hour session, you will receive a 45 minute massage or you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. If you choose to continue the appointment as scheduled you are still required to pay for the full hour. Repeated late arrivals will result in all services having to be prepaid.
A 24 hour notice is required for any non-emergency cancellation or reschedule. Giving less than a 24 hour notice will result in a $50 fee. This fee must be paid prior scheduling another appointment. Repeated cancellations will result in all services having to be prepaid.
No Call, No Shows
The full session fee will be charged for a no call, no show. This amount must be paid prior scheduling another
appointment. Repeated no call, no shows will result in all services having to be prepaid.
